A Flash banner is an optimized animation linked to an advertised web address, known as "click-through URL". FlashBannerNow offers banners in standard ad formats: 468x60 Full Banner, 728 x 90 Leaderboard, 300 x 250 Medium Rectangle, 336 x 280 Large Rectangle and 160 x 600 Wide Skyscraper.
The banners you create with our Instant or Pro banner makers contain 3 and 5 text lines respectively plus a "scrolling marquee" line to accomodate your ad copy. The Instant service offers a set of pre-built banner designs to choose from, while the Pro account provides complete control over the banner elements - backgrounds, fonts, text effects etc. Please see How to create a banner to learn more about the bannermaking process.
When you are satisfied with the preview of a banner you create, you can purchase and immediately download the banner SWF file. The banner download page contains a step-by-step manual on how to put ("publish") your banner on the web (see demo). You can publish your ad on your own, using the banner code on the download page, or send the banner file to any ad network that supports the Adobe Flash format, such as Google AdWords - your banner SWF file supports industry-standard "clickTAG" variable out-of-the-box.
After you download your banner SWF file created with Instant or Pro service, you can publish it on your own, using the banner code we provide on the banner download page, or use the file with any ad publisher, network or software that supports Adobe Flash format. If your ad publisher has some specific requirements, we will modify your banner accordingly at no extra charge.
Please also see the answers in the Publishing your banners on your own and Publishing your banners with third-parties sections of this Help.
Your web browser is all you need to create a banner with our "do-it-yourself" online tools. To display created banners on the web you will need to copy/paste the banner HTML code into your web pages using your favorite web authoring program (such as DreamWeaver, FrontPage etc.) or with a any raw text editor (e.g. Windows Notepad). Please see the demo banner download page to make sure you completely understand the banner publishing process. You do not need to have Adobe Flash authoring software installed on your computer.
Flash SWF files are non-editable, however you can make minor changes to your ad copy (the texts you use in your banner), such as fixing typos or slightly re-wording your ad, without having to create / purchase another banner. Banners created with the Pro service can be updated through your Pro account - just login and select a banner in "Your past orders" section. It will allow you to update the ad copy and rebuild the banner SWF file. Instant service users please contact us with updated copy, line by line, and your order number.
Yes, you can change your banner link (known professionally as "click-through URL") whenever needed by editing the banner HTML code. We recommend to use a handy HTML code generator on your order download page (see demo).
