Step 2: Send the SWF file to your ad publisher

Google AdWords users: please see step-by-step guide on how to add a Flash banner to your AdWords account.
Provide your ad publisher, network or software with the Flash banner SWF file along with your ad click-through URL (the banner "link"). Send the 'demo_728x90.swf' file you have downloaded at Step 1 to your ad publisher and notify them about your Flash banner specifications:

  • Adobe Flash 8 format
  • SWF file size: 4K
  • compatible with any ad server/software, which assignes the Flash ad click-through URL by appending it to the SWF filename (or with the "flashvars" parameter).

Code examples:

demo_728x90.swf?clickTAG=http://www.example.com

(Ad networks: Google AdWords, Fastclick, Doubleclick; Ad servers: Revive Adserver etc. Also known as "Macromedia Flash Advertising Alliance standard".)

demo_728x90.swf?url=http://www.example.com>

(Ad servers: Ban Man Pro, Absolute Banner Manager etc.)

demo_728x90.swf?link=http://www.example.com

...or any other parameter as long as the ad click-through URL begins with "http".

Your ad publisher may have some specific requirements, for example, animation loops cap, use of rollover sounds, "hard-coded" click-through URL etc. Typically, we can fix your banner for free to meet these requirements.
